When I first arrived, I didn't know one train from the next and I hated reading maps--before I had only used them for long road trips. I mean, nothing says 'not a New Yorker' more than a pulling out one of those big subway maps. Anyway, to navigate around town I often used [http://hopstop.com/ Hopstop]. It provided multiple routes and often 360 degree views of surrounding areas near subway exits --and I like the big 'walk that way' arrow. | ||

It provided multiple routes and often 360 degree views of surrounding areas near subway exits --and I like the big 'walk that way' arrow.
