This isn't that cutting edge, but in the summer I was visiting Israel and we went down to Masada. After walking around and baking in the sun, we went back down and walked into the museum that displays many of the artifacts they excavated. We were given headsets that would start playing depending on where you stood or which room you walked in. Usually those are not so exciting but these were really cool - the way the rooms were set up it was very clear what path to take and what to see first (though you could go anywhere you wanted). That plus the dramatic music coming from the headset and the man explaining the pieces we were looking at... it was very intuitive and it worked well.
