SportsTracker - NYC

I've always had this nagging feeling in the back of my head that I should exercise more, but I find it hard to just walk into a gym and work out without tracking my performance (more on this in the personal informatics class), so I was pleasantly surprised when I downloaded and started using Nokia's Sports Tracker application on my Nokia N95 8GB.

As you might have guessed from the name, Sports Tracker is essentially a GPS-enabled tracking application connected to a web service that tracks activities (walking, running, cycling etc) and has a number of great features like automatically geotagging any media you create and providing a vast amount of data to mine and to track yourself against afterwards.

The mobile UI is one of the best I've seen, and the designers took care to think about the types of information displayed on each screen.

A walk around the East Village / Soho, stopping off for arepa's at Caracas (drool)

A short run I did one morning.

Bonus: buoyed by the unexpected success of Sports Tracker, Nokia has now extended this concept into lifestreaming with their Nokiavine. Can anybody see the link to download the @#$@# thing? Let me know.
